I checked, port 80/443 isn't used.
This is system log at Event Viewer
The VMware HTTP Reverse Proxy service terminated with the following service-specific error:
Incorrect function.
Thank you for your support.

LucD,
Can we convert VM's having Thick provisioned to Thin provisioning ? Please let me know if yes what are the possible way to do.
Thanks
vmk
Hi, thanks for your reply!
I connect to the Fusion Windows10 from aWindows10 laptop with RDP over a local wifi network...
LucD,
Does the script works for CISCO UCS blade model also ? We have mixed environment of HP and UCS blade.
Thanks
vmk
I wouldn't know, I don't have such HW available to verify that.
Did you try to run it against that HW?
Afaik, that will only work with a Move-Harddisk cmdlet and the StorageFormat parameter.
I don't think there is an option to do this in-place.
Thank you, LucD. We have data store provisioned and we are planning to get rid of thick provisioned disk.
thanks
vmk
But I think it not works correctly and will not automatically replace new file with old files because last day free space on that path was about 10G but today another the free space decreased and now is about 7G
LucD,
Can we pull over provisioning report for all the data store in vc ? current script is specific to particular data store. i.e. RZ1
Sure, just leave out the -Filter parameter on the Get-View cmdlet.
I've used "Skip AD join" on multiple occasions and never seen an instance where VCSA object removed from AD.
here you are
Log a support ticket with VMware if you're unhappy with how it is working
To provide load-balancing there is some way to do that, but I don't think a specific failover technology for the connection server is highly necessary. Suppose that if you lose the View Connection Server temporarily, the existing connections are still stablished and no need to reconnect them at that moment. For the other new connection requests, if it's critical you can install the View Direct Agent in the template VM for deploying new desktops and grant access to the users if there is no connection server! (not exactly maintain availability, but is a simple and useful method). However, don't forget the connection server is just a Broker and can be re-deploy this service very fast (if you don't lose the LDAP database VDMDS) and also there are many other reasons that I think there is no need for that.
thank you both, Version is 6.7U2
Will check what is the VM scheduled to do at that time but in any case it looks like I will need to open a ticket with vSAN GSS
Let me know if there are any further things I need to ask/check out about the VM workload taking place that can help/explain this.
Hopefully the above steps will help determine if this write latency is to be expected or not.
Hello everyone, I currently use the web client to upload 1.2T .VMDK files to the vSAN storage and it fails. Attempting to upload using SFTP also fails. The progress is about 15% and an error is reported. Are there any restrictions on browsing the file upload ? Thank you!
Setting up such a lab with only 32GB RAM may be a challenge. However, it may be possible.
What type/model is your Dell server? To avoid unnecessary overhead (Windows, VMware Workstation) you may consider to run ESXi on the host, and setup the test lab on that.

Hi everybody,
Sorry for long winded post, I tried to put as much as info as possible for better understanding
We are trying to achieve following:
SET UP:
Cluster has 4 ESXI hosts, ESX1,ESXi2,ESXi3, ESXi4.
Cluster is enabled for DRS and HA.
Cluster has two VMS:
VM1, FT protected, Primary is on ESXi1, Secondary is on ESXi2
VM2, FT protected, Primary is on ESXi1, Secondary is on ESXi2
We are trying to achieve following:
1) If either VM1 or VM2 ( primary goes down), then both Secondary VMS on ESXi2 should take up the role of Primary.
For above, I am thinking to set up VM heart beats , if master host misses heart beats from either of them, reboot the hosts, this will force Secondary VMS on ESXi2 to assume Primary roles
2) The new secondary VMS must be powered on ESX3 or ESXI 4 . They have be to be together .
I have been looking into affinity rules.
Using vSphere DRS Groups and VM-Host Affinity Rules with MSCS Virtual Machines
You must use VM-Host affinity rules because vSphere HA does not obey VM-VM affinity rules. This means that if a host fails, vSphere HA might separate clustered virtual machines that are meant to stay together, or vSphere HA might put clustered virtual machines that are meant to stay apart on the same host. You can avoid this problem by setting up DRS groups and using VM-Host affinity rules, which are obeyed by vSphere HA.
3)Does FT obey VM-HOST affinity rule?
If yes, then I should be able to following:
Create VM-HOST affinity rules.
VM1, VM2 -VM GRP1
ESXI1- HOST GRP1
ESXI2- HOSTGRP2
ESXI3-HOSTGRP3
ESXI4-HOST GRP4
Then creates VM host affinity rules:
1)VMGRP1 must run HOSTGRP1
2) VM GRP1 must run HOST GRP2
3) VM GRP1 must run HOST GRP3
4) VM GRP1 must run on HOST GRP4
My understanding is the rules above are checked in the order by DRS, HA
Any feedback is appreciated !!
Did you already take a look at https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2130798 to see whether this helps.
