You can find that the hardware is compatible with ESXi on the below link:
VMware Compatibility Guide - System Search
UEFI has SecureBoot feature and as I know there is no other.

I set the SSO Domain years ago to the same domain as my active directory domain. This conflict means I cannot enable active directory as a identity source.
Any way of changing the SSO domain back to vsphere.local or something else post deployment?
Did you meet any errors ?
If you have downloaded ws15.5 package, then you need manually close the original ws15.1 and all VMs. After that, WS15.5 installer will begin to work.
Or, refer to :
https://www.vgemba.net/vmware/Workstation-15.5-Install-Error/
https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads
What's your windows 10 VM's version?
Could you check whether secure option is enabled (by clicking VM settings->Options-> Advanced: Firmware Type->UEFI: checkbox Secure boot) and take a screenshot?
This crash problem has been fixed in Workstation 15.5. You can try to upgrade.
Cleanup or defrag operations can worked correctly on sparse multiple files disk VM without any limitation, but only support on sparse single files disk VM which the disk size is less than 512G. That means leanup or defragment operations isn't supported on sparse single files disk VM which the disk size is larger than 512G.
I am not sure I fully understand, but if you are using SSDs as the capacity tier marked as HDD then this is an unsupported configuration and I would urge you to file a support request to get the problem resolved.
What is the difference between these two booting ?
BTW, from your log, the WS version is 15.1. Could you upgrade to WS15.5(free update) and see whether it's reproducible?
Hello,
The hack with increasing service start timeout is when the machine is in an isolated network (no internet access). Is that the case?
The value is in milliseconds. A recommended value for that case is about 5min, i.e. 300 000. A value of 3 000 000 000 (3 bln) looks way too big.
What does the event viewer say about these service start failures? Is there anymore info? Is there anything in Converter logs? (they are located in %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\VMware\VMware vCenter Converter Standalone\logs)

Plamen
Could you try WS/Player 15.x ?
Hi Trboomer,
your explanation listen plausible and I tried it out.
I could not find any Hyper-V entry at this place.
How else can I see that this is installed and active?
I had first problems on update to Win1903, but never mention some with vmware.
My vmware didn't run after the failed 1903 update.
After some resaerch I found one who told that after update to W10 1903 his vmware would run. So I checked to update this win version
After contacting MS-Hotline I got Win10 1903 running but not VMWare. So I deinstalled all and bought even the update from vmware 12 to 15
But still nothing works. I'm really angry meanwhile with vmware, that they do not publish to the registered customer that there are problems and how to fix.
It is 1/2 year ago and no help from vmware. Seems to escalate it to the PC-Magazines around the world to push them and getting up their ass.
I payed money for nothing now.
Thank You and Best Regards
Michael
Hello,
i have the same question.
We have changed the self-signed certificates with certificates from a microsoft enterprise CA, but chrome shows the same certifcate warnings.
vCenter Server with an embedded Platform Services Controller 6.7.0.40000
ESXi, 6.7.0, 13006603
Chrome shows the vcsa website https://vcsa.domain.tdl/ui completly secure when the ClientIntegrationPlugin 6.7.0.4882 is not installed on the admin pc.
The Warnings starts with installation of the ClientIntegrationPlugin.
IE and Firefox shows no certificate warnings.
Best regards,
Chris
I am looking at the vrops export tool and I cannot find mem Demand pct

I am looking at the vmfields.yaml file and cannot find a field for
- alias: memDemand
metric: mem|guest_demand
in percentage
also how do I export 180days of data from list of VMs I have?
Thanks sshetty - I managed to submit a support ticket using your method.
hi,
I could not figure out how to send alt+tab to the remote windows PC using horizon from android.
setup:
- android 7.0
- external BT keyboard
- horizon 5.2.0
- remote VM is win7 / win10
when I hit alt+tab it switches apps on the android.
is there any other secret key combination I could use instead?
shift+alt+tab worked, but that is not exactly the same option.
cheers
No it was in the UK, it took over 1hr to get the new host in and VMs migrated. Not all VMs were powered up by HA which has a SR raised as to why. This was not reported as any outage on the support page for UK.
My main concern is all the disconnected VMs were ended up being powered off for such a long amount of time before HA kicked in and even then not all of them were automatically powered back up
VMware online support were clueless over the outage and i had to send screenshots as proof
The tools auto-updated, but it was blurry both before and after that.
It's always better to use latest Converter - currently 6.2.0.1
Try it and share results.
